Valerie qualified for the 2004 World Championships
in her very first US National competition. At the Worlds in South Africa, she
placed a very respectable 6th... "It was my first competition at the world
class level & I know if I had more experience, I would have performed much
better"... not bad for a girl who discovered her talent by beating guys at
