Welcome to our Inaugural issue of our new merchandising Bulletin. The purpose of this Bulletin is to assist you, the retailer and the broker, in increasing sales of Baked Potato Thins. We trust you will find this helpful.

1) PRODUCT: It is important to differentiate between Baked Potato Thins and the conventional potato chips. Baked Potato Thins are the only 100% PURE Idaho potato product in the snack field: 100% Pure Idaho Potato - not reconstituted or dehydrated. BAKED - Not Fried! NO ADDITIVES or PRESERVATIVES. New and Unique size and shape. Hand-made in small batches to maintain superior taste and quality.
Now with Safety Seals. Remember, the name says it all: a Thin Slice of Baked Potato!

2) PLACEMENT: It has been found that due to the nature of the product and the price point, Baked Potato Thins must be displayed in the heavily trafficked areas, such as the Deli Department or a counter Display. When placed among the conventional potato chips, the product does not stand out due to the size of the package. Baked Potato Thins do NOT belong in the grocery section and certainly should not be displayed alongside conventional potato chips. These are not potato chips; they are Baked Potato Thins and need to be positioned and displayed as such.

3) DISPLAY: It is recommended that the product be displayed at eye level or just below eye level. This would enable you to stock the product and gain depth for back-up merchandise. The labels are very eye catching and should serve to get the attention of consumers. The packaging, which affords visibility of the product while protecting it from breaking, is very versatile and useful for making displays.

4) SALES PROMOTION AIDS: We are currently exploring the possibility of a shelf-talker as well as a shelf strip with product identification on it. We will keep you apprised of our progress.

5) SAMPLING: We have demonstrated and proven innumerable times the value of sampling. There are product samples for tasting included in each and every case. Please be sure to put these out in front of your customers so that they can sample the product. It works!
